May

May is the time of the year to chase that fish of a lifetime. The large migratory Striped Bass enter the Chesapeake Bay to spawn, and as they are exiting the Chesapeake Bay, we target these large migratory fish that can top the scales at over 50 LBS!!! This time of year we are generally trolling with a large spread of over 30 lines in the water. Our dock provides us with direct access to the main stream of the Chesapeake Bay, and right in the middle of the migration route for the Striped Bass.

June-July

For June and July, our summer fishery for Striped Bass is some of the hottest action you can participate in. In June we begin to target the local (resident) striped bass population with live bait and the action has been outstanding!! Catching 4-10lb striped bass on light tackle, is truly something that attracts all anglers, beginners and experts. Along with the striped bass fishing, our bottom fishing begins to heat up with catches of white perch and catfish becoming more regular this time of year.

August-September

The late summer months on the Chesapeake can be special, with multiple species to catch, you never know what might be on the line. We continue to target our resident population of Striped Bass using live bait this time of year as well. Generally the fish are on some sort of structure and with Captain Andrew's knowledge of the waters off of Kent Island, one of his hot spots are sure to produce an exciting day. Along with the striped bass, white perch fishing is always getting better this time of the year, and we can always go and chase the spanish mackeral and bluefish. Spanish Mackeral and Bluefish are caught high speed trolling, and make some phenomenal table fare as well!! It is not uncommon to catch over 4 different species in one trip this time of year.

October-November

"ROCKTOBER" as we call it can be a very special month. As the waters cool off, the striped bass will exit the shallow waters and enter the deeper waters to feed up for winter time. As the water cools, grab your sweatshirt, and come and get on the action when multiple hook ups are the norm. Large bird shows, with breaking fish and can provide a show, that even the Captain gets excited for. November provides similar action, we are generally back trolling this time of year, targeting the larger resident rockfish, and may even stumble into a few migratory fish re-entering the Chesapeake Bay! It truly is magical fall fishing on the Chesapeake Bay this time of year and something you sure do not want to miss out on.
