Captain Andrew Aus

Captain Andrew has plenty of experience when it coming to the fishing on the Chesapeake Bay. His fishing experience started in the summer of 2004 when he became a first mate on The Maverick for Captain Chris Rosendale. Captain Rosendale was the owner of The Maverick since 1976, and known as one of the best fisherman on the bay. Captain Andrew learned everything from Captain Rosendale, as he spent 8 years working as his first mate. In 2012, Captain Andrew bought Maverick Charters from Captain Rosendale and hasn’t looked back since. Since the purchase of The Maverick in 2012, Andrew has upgraded boats and has continued to make a name for himself on local waters as one of the best fisherman on the bay as well. He has continued The Maverick tradition, providing each and every customer with an unforgettable experience on the Chesapeake Bay whether it be their first time or not. Captain Andrew lives in his home in Queenstown, MD with his very adorable dog Shine and enjoys spending his free time still on the water with his family and friends.

First Mate, Chris Evans

Chris began fishing with Captain Andrew in the Spring of 2014. Chris has been a huge asset to Maverick Charters, and with his help has made Maverick Charters consistently the boat to be on when chasing trophy rockfish in May. In the summer Chris fishes on boats out of Ocean City, MD where he and his wife Missy live with their dogs.

First Mate, Braden Rosebrock

We welcomed Braden to Our Crew in 2018, and we are very lucky to have him. He has plenty experience when it comes to fishing, and even has his Captain’s license as well. Braden lives locally in Chester, MD and enjoys hunting in his down time.

Fish Observer, Shine

Although Shine won’t be joining the charter’s with us, she is very important to the Maverick Crew. Shine likes to scope out the waters with her dad in their free time, and be on the lookout for the perfect Fishing Spots. Between fishing and hunting, Shine has been apart of both since she was born and is the perfect asset to our Crew.
